Konica Minolta makes mid-range and enterprise office MFPs under the bizhub brand, plus production printing equipment under AccurioPress. The bizhub line is what 90 percent of support questions are about. The company has a strong dealer model in North America, so a lot of bizhub units come with managed service contracts that include toner and maintenance. Outside Asia, the brand is sometimes sold as 'develop ineo' through a separate dealer channel using identical hardware.
Konica Minolta product lines
bizhub i-Series (current)
bizhub C250i through C750i are the current colour MFPs for small to large workgroups. bizhub 360i through 750i for mono. Run on the MarketPlace app platform, support advanced workflow with KMBS apps.
bizhub (pre-i-Series)
bizhub C258, C308, C368, and the mono equivalents (308e, 458e) from 2015 to 2020. Still in heavy use, still supported with drivers and toner. Slightly older touchscreen interface.
bizhub C4000i and C3300i
Smaller desktop colour MFPs aimed at branch offices and SOHO. Compact, but use the same touchscreen platform as the bigger units.
AccurioPress and AccurioPrint
Production printers and digital presses. AccurioPress C14000, C12000 for high-volume colour, AP6136 for mono. Light commercial print shops and in-house print rooms.
Common Konica Minolta printer problems
C-series trouble codes (C2557, C3xxx, C9402)
Konica Minolta C codes are hardware faults. C2557 means the registration sensor is dirty, clean with a dry cloth. C3201 through C3204 are toner motor errors (try reseating the toner). C9402 is a controller write error, usually clears with a power cycle but can indicate a failing storage drive on older units. Codes appear on the touchscreen with a fault description.
JS21 and JF1 paper jam codes
JS21 jams happen at the duplex unit, JF1 at the ADF feed. Open the indicated cover, remove paper, check the small registration rollers for paper scraps. Recurring jams in the duplex usually mean the duplex transport belt is worn. The belt is a service part on older bizhub but user-replaceable on i-Series.
Print from PaperCut or YSoft SafeQ failing
bizhub i-Series ships with multiple print release systems pre-installed and they sometimes conflict. From the touchscreen go to User Tools, Admin Settings, MarketPlace Apps, and disable the ones you do not use. Reboot the panel. PaperCut MF and YSoft SafeQ both need their Konica Minolta app installed from MarketPlace, not from PaperCut directly.
Embedded web server (PageScope Web Connection) authentication looping
After firmware updates, the embedded web server sometimes loses the default admin account. The factory default admin password is 1234567812345678 (sixteen ones and twos) on most bizhub models, or 12345678 on older units. Reset via the touchscreen under Admin Settings, Security if you can still get in there.
Scan to email through Office 365 failing
Office 365 dropped basic authentication in 2022. bizhub MFPs need either OAuth2 (supported on i-Series with the latest firmware) or app password authentication for a regular mailbox. Easier route for most offices: set up a Microsoft 365 shared mailbox with an app password, use that as the SMTP relay account in the MFP's email settings on port 587 with TLS.
Konica Minolta drivers and downloads
Konica Minolta US drivers are at kmbs.konicaminolta.us/en/support/downloads.html. The Universal Print Driver (PCL6) covers most bizhub models with one Windows install. Mac drivers are model-specific. The current i-Series also supports AirPrint and Mopria for driverless mobile printing.
What to buy and what to skip
bizhub C300i or C360i is the sweet spot for a 10 to 30 person office, well-priced for the feature set and finisher options. bizhub C4050i for higher volumes. Avoid the very lowest desktop models (C3320i) unless your monthly volume is under 1000 pages, the bigger units are quieter and faster. Always evaluate the total cost including the service contract, which is where most Konica Minolta deployments live.

Are Konica Minolta and develop ineo the same?
Yes. develop ineo is the same Konica Minolta hardware sold through a different dealer channel in some markets. Toner, drivers, and parts are interchangeable. The branding on the touchscreen and the front of the case is different but the model number underneath is the same Konica Minolta part.
Can I use third-party toner in a bizhub?
Yes, OEM Konica Minolta does not lock out third-party toner the way HP does on consumer printers. Quality from reputable third-party suppliers (Static Control, Innotec) is generally good for the popular models. Avoid the cheapest no-brand toner, which often causes yield problems and printer messages.
How big are bizhub MFPs physically?
Bigger than most people expect. A bizhub C300i is desktop-sized (about 60cm wide and 60cm deep), C450i and up are floor-standing. Add 30 to 50cm for paper trays and finisher units. Measure the space before you order, and check the door width on the route between the loading dock and the office.
